The 'dress' is actually just one of those net things you put around a bed haha. Experimenting with lighting, a bit difficult when I take my photos in my room though. I may change the title of this at some point, I've called it 'Cosmic' for now since the background reminds me of outer space. Texture from Texture King used.
Stunning to say the least! Just as a sidenote, I've seen photos of wedding dresses that don't look half as good as your "bed wrapping"!!! Just awesome all round - photo, lighting, and of course, the clothing/bedding
Most of your work is just fantastic, due to your ability to set the lighting with the right style of posture/clothing etc. I've wanted to comment on every photo when I first came across your pics, however didn't want to become your #1 stalker, haha.
I think self portraits are one of the hardest type of photography to do, and you're doing it better than all I have seen on here. Kudos!
I use a Canon 400D & for this photo I used a Canon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. The two other lenses I use mainly are a Canon 50mm f/1.8 II & an old Carl Zeiss 135mm f/3.5 (which has to be used with an M42 to EOS adapter).
This is amazing! I love the striking pose and face! Very elegant with a dark romantic touch. I've done the same thing with a bed curtain haha. It works pretty well for a quick homemade dress! wonderful job ♥
I didn't take a setup photo for this, sorry. I do remember that there was a bare flash behind me placed on my desk (my right, photo left) with the beauty dish on a stand balanced on my bed (my left, photo right), so two Canon 430EX II speedlites were used. Both lights would have been placed within two metres of me. I hope this helps.
